Liverpool Among Host Of Clubs Keeping An Eye On Spanish Starlet

Liverpool and a number of other clubs are interested in Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo, according to reports in Croatia.

Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also believed to be scouting the Spaniard after an impressive start to the 2018/19 campaign.

Olmo made six appearances for Dinamo in the Champions League qualifying rounds, scoring one goal and providing two assists before the Croatian side were knocked out by Swiss side Young Boys.

The 20-year-old came through Barcelona’s academy before moving to Zagreb in 2014 in a swap deal for Alen Halilovic, and he has been a regular for his club since the second half of the 2016/17 season.

Olmo’s agent Juanma Lopez has confirmed that a number of clubs are scouting the winger:

“I can confirm that Milan and other clubs are following Dani. There are several Italian clubs interested in him, as well as some in England and Spain.”

The player’s current contract expires in 2021. He only signed a new three-year deal in January after making a huge impression in the Croatian First Football League last campaign, scoring eight goals and contributing six assists in 26 games.

Just which English clubs are interested is unclear but we can expect the likes of Everton, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United plus Manchester City with their with their strong Barca connections to very likely be amongst the teams in the hunt for the exciting attacker who is the latest player to come off the Croatian production as the country continues to punch way above its weight with the talent it produces and what its national team accomplishes.
