Liverpool Among Three Clubs To Have Made Contact About Signing £30m Senegalese Star

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool have made contact with Watford winger Ismaila Sarr’s representatives, according to reports in the English media.

Crystal Palace and Wolves are also believed to be interested in the Senegalese international but they may only make a move for the 22-year-old if they sell the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Adama Traore.

Sarr was signed by Watford for a club-record £30m fee from Rennes last summer and while the Hornets’ relegation will mean they are open to offers, the Reds cannot expect to get a big discount on the player.

There are also reportedly teams in France, Germany and Spain keeping a close eye on the winger so if the Merseyside club want to secure his services, they will have to push the boat out.

Sarr is a close friend of Sadio Mane, and he could well be seen as an option to provide backup for his fellow countryman on the left-hand side of the attack.
