Liverpool and Arsenal will have to make a “weighty offer” in order to persuade Villarreal into selling Yeremy Pino this summer, according to AS.
The Madrid-based newspaper claims that the 19-year-old is the subject of “strong interest” from clubs in the Premier League and the Yellow Submarine may have to make a “difficult decision” about selling the player.
Some reports have suggested that both Jurgen Klopp’s side and the Gunners have already made €40m (£34m) bids for Pino but that hasn’t been substantiated by reliable sources.
AS do claim, though, that at least one team made a serious approach only a “few days ago” but it seems that Villarreal are holding firm on their valuation of the player so far.
Pino has an €80m (£67.6m) release clause and it seems any team wishing to secure the teenager’s signature would probably have to propose a figure close to this amount. That would be a sizeable investment in a player who still has a lot to learn.
