Liverpool And Bayern ‘Joining The Fight’ For £74m Rated Spanish Midfeld Maestro As Agent Speaks Out

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are “joining the fight” for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to OK Diario.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim the Reds are ready to invest in the Spanish international, with bidding expected to start around the €80m (£74m) mark.

With Real Madrid and Barcelona also said to be keen on Ruiz, everything is set up for a summer transfer battle, and the 23-year-old’s agent Alvaro Torres has made it known that the player could leave Napoli at the end of the season:

“There are very important clubs that have asked for information, and we have already informed Napoli. All these clubs believe that he is a midfielder who is going to be one of the players of the decade.”

“There is no release clause in his current contract. I really don’t know what Ruiz’s value is at present. In the short term, he is focused on Napoli and at the end, we will see.”

Napoli are unlikely to be in the Champions League next campaign, considering they are currently nine points off the top four, but with no buyout clause, the Partenopei are expected to auction the player off to the highest bidder.

Whether Ruiz is worth the outlay, it is up for debate. He is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents in European football, but he has managed just three goals and contributed two assists in 32 games this season.
