Liverpool and Italian Giants Both Keeping Tabs On Albanian Fullback

Liverpool are keeping an eye on Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj, according to reports from Italy.

The Albanian international was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer to join his former manager Maurizio Sarri, however, his agent in recent days has hinted the fullback will sign a new deal with the Partenopei.

Still, it seems the Reds are interested in Hysaj with reports suggesting that Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is also monitoring the player’s contract negotiations.

Whether Jurgen Klopp would need another right-back, it is debatable. With Trent Alexander-Arnold having firmly established himself as the first-choice, there would appear to be no room for the Napoli defender.

Perhaps if Nathaniel Clyne left Anfield in order to get more first-team football, there would be an opening to sign another fullback, but Hysaj wouldn’t want to play second fiddle.

He is a regular for his club in Italy after starting the first four games of the season under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
