Liverpool And PL Rivals Miss Out As The Next Haaland Looks Poised To Seal 12.4M Transfer

Liverpool and Brentford have both been in contact with the representatives of FC Nordsjaelland striker Andreas Schjelderup, according to reports in Norway.

However, the two Premier League League teams are expected to miss out on the 18-year-old, who has been labelled as the next Erling Haaland, with Benfica poised to sign the player for £12.4m.

Schjelderup has been in impressive form this season, having racked up 10 goals in 17 appearances and his performances have also attracted the interest of other teams.

The likes of Arsenal, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Inter Milan have all been mentioned as potential suitors in recent months but it appears that the teenager has opted for a move to Portugal.

Nordsjaelland were not expected to sell Schjelderup on the cheap, with it being claimed the Danish side may hold out for as much as €20m (£17m), but it seems they have accepted an offer below that valuation.
