Liverpool Could Sign 34 Goal Poacher For Just 17M But Price Tag Has Alerted Another PL Club

Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka could be sold for only £17m this summer, according to reports in the English media.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham have all been credited with an interest in the Zambian international over the past few weeks, but it is now believed that Leicester are also pursuing the forward.

The Foxes are after a replacement for the ageing Jamie Vardy and Daka, who scored 34 goals in all competitions last season, is thought to be an ideal successor for a number of reasons.

His low price tag means he would have potential resale value, while his speed means he would be able to closely replicate what Vardy brings to the team.

What this means for Liverpool, it remains to be seen. One insider source claimed that the Reds were the furthest along in negotiations for Daka but whether Salzburg would actually consider selling the forward for as little as £17m, it is debatable.
