Liverpool Defender Misses Training Session With Question Marks Over His Fitness For Napoli Clash

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson did not take any part of the Reds’ final training session before they headed out to face Napoli tomorrow, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Scottish international played the full 90 minutes against Newcastle on Saturday and there was no mention of any injury after the match.

Whether Robertson sat out the session as a precaution or the issue is more serious, we shall have to wait and see until Jurgen Klopp’s pre-match press conference.

Divock Origi is already a major doubt for the Champions League clash after twisting his ankle in the win over the Magpies at the weekend.

Naby Keita is closing in on a return to training but he won’t be ready to make the squad for the Napoli game. Alisson Becker is still a month away from full fitness due to his calf injury while Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee after doing his ACL in pre-season.
