Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Alisson have been nominated for the Champions League Forward and Goalkeeper of the Season awards.

Salah scored 10 goals as the Reds reached the the competition’s final last term, where they eventually lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano will challenge him for the award.

Alisson, who joined Liverpool in a £68.8 million deal earlier this summer, was nominated in recognition of his performances for AS Roma, who reached the semi-final and were knocked out by Liverpool.

The Brazilian is nominated alongside Gianluigi Buffon and Keylor Navas.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid trio Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Raphael Varane were nominated for the Defender of the Season award, while Kevin De Bruyne, Toni Kroos and Luca Modric were give the nod for the Midfielder of the Season.

The winners will be announced on Thursday August 30.
