Liverpool Enter Race For Kosovan Star With £31.6m Buyout Clause

Liverpool are interested in signing Werder Bremen winger Milot Rashica, according to Weser-Kurier. The local newspaper claims the Reds are one of four clubs keeping tabs on the Kosovan international.

Southampton have already registered their interest in the 23-year-old, while both RB Leipzig and Serie A side Roma are also said to be keen on the player.

Rashica has been in very good form for Werder Bremen this season, having scored 10 goals and contributed four assists in 21 games for the Bundesliga outfit.

However, the Kosovan does have a buyout clause set at €38m (£31.6m), which will need to be triggered for any transfer to go ahead.

Werder Bremen are said to be reluctant to settle for a lower amount as a percentage of Rashica’s transfer fee will go to his previous club Vitesse Arnhem.

The midfielder generally plays off the left flank, although he has also played as a centre forward and as a no. 10 this season. He could well be seen as a potential understudy for Roberto Firmino.
