Liverpool Eye Surprise Move For Former Hull City Defender Whose Crossing Stats Are ‘Off The Scale’

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Vitesse Arnhem left-back Max Clark, according to the Mirror. The newspaper claims the 23-year-old has come to the Reds’ attention due to the player’s crossing stats being “off the scale.”

The former Hull City defender has been playing in Holland for the last 18 months, and his performances have been noticed by a number of English teams.

Vitesse are said to be preparing for offers for Clark next month, and with just a year and a half remaining on his current contract, they may well look to cash in.

Liverpool are likely to be looking for a potential backup for Andy Robertson. The Merseyside club did not replace Alberto Moreno when he left on a free transfer in the summer, so they could be seeking to strengthen their left-back options in January.

Clark has made 19 appearances for Vitesse so far this campaign, scoring one goal and contributing three assists.
