It’s an exciting time to be a Liverpool fan.
Third in the Premier League; all but into the Champions League quarter-finals; and showcasing one of, if not, Europe’s most deadly attacking lines – life is looking sweet at Anfield.
Add into that already exciting looking cocktail the arrival of RB Leipzig star Naby Keita at the end of the season, and you have a concoction for potential Champions next season.
And just when Liverpool fans thought it couldn’t get any better – they have seen their club linked with a sensational move for one of Italy’s brightest in the last few days – Napoli’s Jorginho.
The Brazilian born Italian international has been a stand out player for the Serie A leaders this term, impressing with his ability to dictate the tempo of the game from midfield and his eye-catching range of passing.
So good has been his form, a host of Europe’s giants, including Liverpool, reportedly want the Italian come the end of the season. Real Madrid and Chelsea are also thought be to interested.
Liverpool however are the favourites to land the Napoli star, with Jurgen Klopp keen to bolster his midfield options after the departure of Philippe Coutinho in January.
Emre Can is also expected to leave Anfield this summer for Juventus, and hence Jorginho could be the man to directly replace the German international. (it’s worth noting the Reds unsuccessfully moved for Jorginho back in 2014 before they eventually signed Can instead.)
