Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts after rumours have resurfaced they could land AS Monaco star Thomas Lemar before the end of the month.
The Frenchman has been previously linked with a move to Anfield, however with Monaco reluctant to sell and having put what Jurgen Klopp described as an “excessive” £90 million price tag on his head – the Reds were thought to have backed out of any move for the midfielder.
Reports now suggest that the reigning Ligue 1 champions are willing to soften their stance on Lemar, and could be willing to part ways with the France international before the end of the month at a cut price.
Arsenal – who had tried to sign Lemar on deadline day last summer – are also thought to be interested in the 22-year-old, as are Chelsea who are keen to bolster their attacking options before the end of the month.
Liverpool however remain favourite’s in the chase for Lemar’s signature, with bookies slashing his odds from 5/1 to 3/1 to make the move to Anfield.
Lemar, who scored 14 goals last season as Monaco won Ligue 1, has struggled to replicate the same form this season, having found the net only three times in 23 appearances.
