Liverpool Given Huge Selection Boost Ahead Of Chelsea Clash

Liverpool will have Mo Salah available for the game against Chelsea on January 2nd, according to reports in the English media.

It was thought that the 29-year-old would miss the match at Stamford Bridge due to the fact he would be away with Egypt’s squad at the African Cup of Nations.

However, it is believed that the Reds have reached an agreement with the Egyptian FA which would allow Salah to remain available for selection to face the Blues before flying out to Cameroon.

It means Salah is now only set to miss two Premier League fixtures: Brentford on January 16th and Crystal Palace on January 23rd, although it remains to be seen when the Boxing Day match against Leeds will be rescheduled for.

In any case, fans will be delighted that manager Jurgen Klopp will have the option of selecting the Egyptian when the Reds play Chelsea in a weeks’ time.
