Liverpool Given Important Boost In Race To Sign £9m Rated Spanish Starlet

Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo’s preferred destination would be Liverpool if he decides to leave the Croatian club, according to reports in Italy.

Last week, the Croatian media hinted that the Reds, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund were all keen on the 20-year-old with his agent Juanma Lopez confirming interest from clubs in “England and Spain.”

However, it seems that Liverpool are leading the race for Olmo, with the Spaniard apparently available for €10m (£9m).

The attacking midfielder came through the academy at Barcelona but moved to Zagreb in 2014 as part of a swap deal with Alen Halilovic.

Since then, he has established himself in Dinamo’s first team, and he has made 12 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Last week, he made a telling contribution during his side’s first Europa League group game against Fenerbahce. He scored and provided an assist in the 4-1 home win.

If he continues his current form, he will certainly be in demand right across Europe.
