Liverpool Handed Boost In Pursuit Of French Midfield Talent As He Rejects Premier League Rival

Anfield Stadium

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has turned down a chance to join Tottenham, according to reports in the French media.

His club are looking to offload him this month with his contract expiring at the end of the season but the 23-year-old is said to be holding out for a move elsewhere.

It is believed that Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the other teams interested in Rabiot, but all of them would only consider taking him on a free transfer in the summer.

PSG have frozen out the France international since he made it known to the Ligue One leaders that he wouldn’t be signing a new contract.

However, the French side have been ordered to reinstate the player to first-team training after having sent him to train with the reserves in recent weeks.

The dispute has led to relations worsening between PSG and Rabiot, and to the club looking to sell up during the January transfer window.
