Liverpool Handed Important Boost In Attempts To Sign Ligue One Ace

Lille are resigned to losing Victor Osimhen next summer, according to reports in the English media. The Nigerian has been heavily linked with Liverpool and it is believed the Reds will now step up their interest in the 21-year-old.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to add depth to his forward line and the Reds boss has reportedly asked for detailed reports about the striker ahead of a possible bid at the end of the season.

Osimhen has been in good form this campaign, having scored 13 goals in 24 appearances and, in addition to the Reds, Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on the forward.

Lille are understood to be willing to cash in as they believe they are in a strong position to get the highest possible price, with the Nigerian international still having four and a half years left on his contract.

However, the player is unlikely to move in the January transfer window with Lille keen to keep hold of him for the remainder of the campaign.
