Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is “open” to joining a Premier League club this summer, according to Marca.
The Spanish newspaper claims Real Madrid are very interested in the France international but the player is now believed to be “targeting” a move to England.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all reportedly pursuing Tchouameni and this latest development suggests they will have a big chance of securing the 22-year-old’s signature.
Monaco are unlikely to allow the Frenchman to leave on the cheap, though. There were claims back in January that the Ligue One side may hold out for between €80m (£67m) and €100m (£84m) but a more realistic figure is thought to be closer to €60m (£50m).
Whether the Reds will table a formal bid for Tchouameni, we shall have to wait and see. Both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will have just one year left on their contracts at the end of the season and, if both players leave, a move for Tchouameni could be on the cards.
