Liverpool Handed Triple Injury Boost Ahead Of Crucial Salzburg Clash

Liverpool could have Dejan Lovren, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana all back in contention for their final Champions League group game against Red Bull Salzburg.

Lovren was taken off before half time in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday but he has been pictured back in training ahead of tomorrow’s game in Austria.

With the Croatian having tweaked a muscle at the Vitality Stadium, manager Jurgen Klopp may opt to play Joe Gomez at centre-half instead versus Salzburg if there are any lingering doubts about the 30-year-old.

Wijnaldum, who did not make the squad for the victory at the weekend due to a minor niggle, was also back on the training pitch and should be available to play on Tuesday.

Lallana was also missing against the Cherries, after playing in the Merseyside derby, but he was photographed going through fitness drills.

Klopp also has three other long-term injuries with Joel Matip (knee), Fabinho (ankle) and Nathaniel Clyne (knee) all still unavailable.
