Liverpool Have ‘Commissioned’ Scouting Reports As They Join PL Rivals In Pursuing 35M Rated Spanish Starlet

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Celta Vigo attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga, according to ESPN.

The website claims that the Reds have “commissioned reports” to assess whether he has the ability and character to play for the Merseyside club.

Other Premier League teams are also tracking Veiga, with Manchester United, Newcastle, Leeds and Bournemouth having also been credited with an interest in the player.

Reports in the Spanish media have mentioned Arsenal as another potential suitor, along with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, so there could be a big fight for the 20-year-old’s services this summer.

One of the main reasons why Veiga is so in demand is because he has a €40m (£35m) release clause in his contract. The fact that he has had a breakthrough season in La Liga, where has scored eight goals and contributed three assists in 24 appearances, would have also attracted the attention of Liverpool and others. We shall see who wins the race for his signature.
