Liverpool Have ‘Huge Advantage’ In Race To Sign Brazilian Teenager Who Could Be Sold For £18m

Liverpool have a “huge advantage” over other interested clubs in the battle to sign Vasco da Gama forward Talles Magno, according to Esporte News Mundo.

The Brazilian news outlet claims that the Reds are favourites to land the Brazilian teenager, ahead of twelve other teams.

Juventus, Roma, Lazio, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica are the Reds’ main rivals, while the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven are all trailing further behind as they were late to the negotiating table.

As mentioned in a previous report, Vasco da Gama are in need of cash so the Brazilian side are prepared to sell 18-year-old this summer.

However, there is a dispute among the club’s board members about how much they should sell Magno for. The president Alexandre Campello is looking to hold out for €30m (£27m) but other directors are keen to offload the player for €20m (£18m) in order to make sure a sale goes through.
