Liverpool Have ‘Spoken’ To Spanish Wonderkid’s Representatives As They Look To Exploit Contract Impasse

Liverpool have “spoken” to the agents representing Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba, according to 90min.com.

The website claims that the Reds, along with Arsenal and Tottenham, have held discussions with the teenager’s entourage to gauge whether the player would be interested in moving to England.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Moriba’s situation, with the 18-year-old having less than a year left on his contract at the Camp Nou.

Barca are still said to be hopeful of tying down the Spaniard to a new deal but, at this time, no agreement has been reached, leading to the player being left out of Ronald Koeman’s first-team plans.

With Moriba’s future up in the air, 90min report that his representatives have even gone as far as offering him to other clubs, which include the likes of Leicester, Everton, Wolves and West Ham.

There is a feeling that the player may be using interest from other teams to get himself a bumper new contract with Barcelona, so we shall see how this all plays out.
