Liverpool In ‘The Front Row’ For 34M Rated Dutch Ace Who Is Also Being Pursued By Arsenal

Liverpool are in the “front row” of teams interested in signing Club Brugge winger Noa Lang, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website claims that “several” Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the Dutch international, with the Reds and Arsenal both said to be in the running for the player.

Reports in the Dutch media last week suggested that the Gunners were lining up a €30m (£25.3m) bid for Lang, although it is believed that Brugge may hold out for as much as €40m (£34m).

AC Milan are also thought to be in the mix, with Director of Football Frederic Massara and Technical Director Paolo Maldini having held talks with the player’s agent recently.

The Rossoneri aren’t expected to make an offer for Lang in the New Year, and were only enquiring about the finances required ahead of a possible move next summer.

For Liverpool then, there is an opportunity to go after the Dutchman in January, as they look to strengthen their options up front, with both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah expected to miss games due to the African Cup of Nations.
