Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says he does not know how long Alexis Mac Allister will be out for after he was substituted at half-time against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The midfielder had a groin problem and Slot confirmed that he was replaced at the break as he was worried about aggravating the injury:
‘He went off because of an injury. How bad? It is difficult for me to judge. He could have continued playing… but he didn’t think it was good to because you never know if you will make it worse.”
Mac Allister has gone away with Argentina. He will be assessed by their medical staff before it is decided whether he should play in their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.
