Brazil boss Dorival Junior has revealed that Liverpool keeper Alisson Becker won’t be back in time to play for his country in the next international break.
Friendlies against England and Spain are scheduled for the end of March and, when asked about the potential call-ups, Dorival replied:
“Some players who had slightly more serious injuries, such as Alisson, Matheus Cunha, Joao Pedro and even Neymar, are totally removed from any possibility at this moment.”
Understandably, this news has not gone down well among Liverpool fans on X, who are extremely disappointed by this latest development:

How many games is Alisson likely to miss?
The 31-year-old will be ruled out for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea this Sunday as well as the FA Cup fifth-round tie versus Southampton.
In terms of league fixtures, Alisson will be unavailable for Wednesday’s game against Luton Town, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.
Depending on whether the Reds make it past Southampton, he could also be sidelined for the Merseyside derby or for the FA Cup quarter-final. The two legs of the Europa League round of 16 tie are also scheduled for next month, which means Alisson will miss at least eight matches.
Liverpool’s No.2 will have to step up
Caoimhin Kelleher was set to start the Carabao Cup final and the two Europa League fixtures anyway, but he will also now be called upon for five other matches over the next month or so.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has massive faith in the Irishman, and fans will be hoping he can step up to the plate when needed.
