Liverpool forward Diogo Jota is “close to being back” available for selection, head coach Arne Slot has confirmed.
The Portuguese international has not played since October after picking up an abdominal injury during the win over Chelsea.
Expected Return Date – Tuesday 10th December v Girona
Slot also had some positive news on Alisson Becker. The Brazilian was originally only expected to return to action by the end of December.
However, Slot said at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Merseyside derby that Liverpool’s No.1 “will be ready very soon”. The keeper has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the win over Crystal Palace in early October.
