Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has confirmed that Diogo Jota is a doubt for this weekend’s game against Brentford.
The forward played the final 25 minutes of the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, scoring the vital equaliser with his first touch after coming off the bench.
However, Slot has confirmed that Jota didn’t train on Thursday due to a “little niggle” he felt during the match at the City Ground.
There is still a chance that the Portuguese international will make the matchday squad on Saturday afternoon but it is unlikely that he will start.
