Liverpool boss Arne Slot has ruled out Florian Wirtz from playing against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

The 22-year-old picked up a muscular injury whilst away with the German national team.

Wirtz is not expected to be sidelined for the long term, with Slot claiming that he should be back in contention “after” the Forest fixture.

That means the German international could be ready for the midweek Champions League match.
