‘OMG HE’S BACK’ ‘Good News’ Fans Delighted As Liverpool Are Handed Major Injury Boost

Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott has been seen out on the grass as he closes in on his comeback from a foot injury.

The 21-year-old has been out since mid-September but he could soon be back in contention for starts.

Elliott was one of the standout players in preseason and many feel that he could be a useful option in attack for head coach Arne Slot. Fans on X are keenly anticipating his return to fitness:

Elliott could provide the X Factor in the final third

Both Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai have been deployed in the most advanced midfield role by Slot this season, and the pair have made important contributions.

Jones was outstanding against Chelsea but he wasn’t as impressive versus Arsenal. Szoboszlai, meanwhile, has played the majority of games but his creative output hasn’t matched his outstanding work rate.

Elliott can provide another alternative for Slot. His ability to pick out a player with a pinpoint pass could make him a great weapon.

It has been confirmed that Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa won’t play in the Reds’ games against Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa before the international break.

Alisson Becker is expected to return from a hamstring problem during the same period of time.
