The goalkeeper sustained a major hamstring injury in the second half of the 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League last week.
Alisson is not expected to be back in action before November, which means he could be unavailable for a further four games, at the very least.

Giovanni Leoni
The Italian teenager tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Southampton during the 2-1 win in the Carabao Cup last month.
Leoni landed awkwardly on the touchline and needed extended treatment before he was stretchered off.
It was the 18-year-old’s debut for the Reds, and Slot has said that the defender could be sidelined for up to a year. Recovery from ACLs can be shorter (as little as nine months), but he won’t play again this campaign.
