Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has been pictured back in training ahead of the Reds’ Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven.
The 27-year-old has not played since picking up a hamstring injury in the 5-0 win over West Ham at the end of December.
However, it seems as if Gomez will be available for some crucial fixtures over the next few weeks and supporters on X are delighted:
That is brilliant news. Helps us massively in the coming weeks.

Gomez’s return will be managed carefully
You wouldn’t expect the England international to play any part against PSV. It is effectively a dead-rubber game and he has just returned to fitness.
Gomez is likely to be back on the bench for the Bournemouth fixture this weekend, while he could play some minutes against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup. A start versus Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup seems certain, with manager Arne Slot expected to rotate his squad ahead of the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park a few days later.
Latest Liverpool injury news
The Reds have two other players currently on the treatment table. Curtis Jones was forced off at halftime during the victory versus Lille in the Champions League last week. The midfielder has an adductor injury and he is a doubt to face PSV.
Diogo Jota was expected to return ahead of Gomez but the Portuguese international is still sidelined after aggravating a muscular injury during the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
