Alisson
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has been out injured ever since he suffered a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace when the Reds won 1-0 at Selhurst Park.
The Brazil international is working closer to a return with the optimism that he may be available after the international break.
Arne Slot said: “It is always difficult to tell you exactly when they are ready because especially the last phase of the recovery can always be a few days extra or less. The fact is that they are not there before the break. Let’s see if they can join us after.”
If he is not available then Caoimhin Kelleher will remain in goal in place of Alisson.
Expected return date – Sunday 24 November vs Southampton (A)
Federico Chiesa
New signing Chiesa has struggled to hit the ground running at Anfield since joining from Juventus in the summer and one reason has been due to his injury problems.
He is training with the team and Liverpool hope he can return after the international break. Slot said: “We are hoping he can do things again during the international break and that he can join us afterwards.”
Expected return date – Sunday 24 November vs Southampton (A)
Diogo Jota
Attacker Jota has been out since he suffered an injury during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates in October.
He remains out and recovering as he has some kind of abdominal knock which has kept the Portuguese attacker out longer than Liverpool initially expected.
Arne Slot said: “I always say in Holland there is privacy about this, and I don’t know how it is over here. Like I just said, he will be back one or two weeks after the international break.”
Expected return date – Sunday 1 December vs Manchester City (H)
