Liverpool have enquired about Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The teenager impressed against the Reds in a pre-season friendly but Jurgen Klopp’s side are not the only club who have taken a keen interest in the player.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be pursuing Sesko’s signature.
The 19-year-old already has 13 caps for Slovenia, and he has actually been compared to Erling Haaland in terms of his style of play, with speed, height and strength all key attributes in his game.
Salzburg are unlikely to let Sesko leave without a fight, though. They have already sold Karim Adeyemi to Borussia Dortmund this summer and they are not looking to sell another forward so soon after losing the German.
Every player does have his price, though, and Mundo Deportivo report that they may be willing to sell the Slovenian international if a team is willing to pay €65m (£54m).
