Liverpool Keen On Recruiting Hazard But Player Has One Major Concern About The Move

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund could be set to battle it out for Borussia Monchengladbach winger Thorgan Hazard, according to reports in Belgium.

It is believed that the 26-year-old wants to leave Gladbach this summer with Dortmund currently the favourites for his signature.

However, Liverpool’s interest has complicated matters. The Reds have reportedly made a higher bid for Hazard but the player is reluctant to move to Anfield, despite Gladbach wanting to sell to the Merseysiders.

The Belgian international is said to be worried by the lack of game time he would get if he moved to the Reds.

Hazard generally plays on either the left or right-hand side, meaning he would be in direct competition with Sadio Mane or Mo Salah for a place in the starting eleven.

The winger has excelled since leaving Chelsea in 2015, and this season has been particularly productive for him. In 29 appearances for Gladbach, the Belgian has scored 12 goals and contributed 11 assists.
