Liverpool Keen To Bring In Ex Arsenal Star As They Look To Bridge Gap To Chelsea And City

Liverpool are interested in bringing Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey back to the Premier League, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The former Arsenal player is currently out of favour at Juve under manager Max Allegri, and the Wales international is keen on a return to England.

Ramsey is reportedly being targeted as a rotation option, with Jurgen Klopp looking to strengthen the depth of his first-team squad in order to match the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Whether Ramsey would be a suitable choice, though, it is debatable. The 30-year-old has spent a significant portion of his time in Turin on the treatment table and, considering the Reds already have a number of injury-prone midfielders, it doesn’t seem like a wise acquisition.

West Ham and Newcastle are also reportedly chasing Ramsey, and he isn’t expected to cost a great deal in January with Juve said to be looking to get the midfielder off the wage bill.
