Liverpool have opened talks with the representatives of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in the English media.
The Serbian international has been linked with Manchester United and West Ham in recent months but it seems the Reds are now in pole position for the 21-year-old’s signature, along with AC Milan.
It is believed that the Rossoneri have also held talks with Vlahovic’s agent, with the forward said to be keen on leaving Fiorentina, following a prolific season in the front of goal for the Viola.
So far this campaign, the Serbian has scored 17 goals in 32 appearances, despite the fact that his team are struggling near the bottom of Serie A.
Vlahovic is believed to be valued between €40m (£35m) and €50m (£43m) so it would be a sizeable outlay, but he is a player with massive potential who could turn into a top-class player in the not too distant future.
