Liverpool and Bayern Munich are now the favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, ahead of Manchester United, according to The Independent‘s Chief Football Writer Miguel Delaney.
The journalist claims the Red Devils’ refusal to pay €120m (£110m) for the England international before the transfer window closed may come back to haunt them, with sources saying he might “prefer” a switch to Anfield next year:

The report goes on to say that Liverpool may be in a position to make a £100m bid for Sancho in 2021 if the financial climate improves, but it does appear to be pure speculation at this point in time.
Although manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be an admirer of the 20-year-old, it would be a big decision to go after the player, considering he would be in direct competition for Mo Salah on the right-wing.
The Egyptian’s excellent start to the season suggests he is still very much at the top of his game, and there is certainly no reason to replace him in the short to medium term.
