Liverpool will not make a £85m bid for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele in the January transfer window, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Reports in the English media had suggested that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was keen on a swoop for the French international. However, it seems the Merseyside club have no intention of making an offer.
In fact, as things stand, it is believed Liverpool will not be making any moves of any kind in the winter market unless an injury crisis befalls the Reds squad.
Dembele has been constantly linked with a move away from Barca since he signed from Borussia Dortmund for £105m back in August 2017.
Speculation increased once again at the weekend when manager Ernesto Valverde left him out of the squad for the game against Real Betis, after failing to inform the club that he would miss training due to illness.
The Frenchman has started seven of the Catalan club’s twelve league games so far this campaign, scoring four times and providing one assist.
