Liverpool Make Late Bid To Hijack German Giant’s Move For £35m Rated Chelsea Starlet

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool have emerged as rivals to Bayern Munich for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports in Germany.

The Bundesliga club are believed to have offered £35m for the 18-year-old but the Reds are said to be involved in negotiations too.

Representatives from Liverpool reportedly met with Hudson-Odoi’s agent and brother Bradley earlier this month to talk about a transfer.

The teenager has 18 months left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea are keen to tie him down to a longer-term deal.

The Blues are believed to have offered Hudson-Odoi £85,000 a week to stay at the club, but the winger is apparently digging his heels in and wants to leave.

Another German club, RB Leipzig, are also reportedly keen on the England Under 19 international but they are unlikely to be able to compete financially with the likes of Bayern and Liverpool.

Hudson-Odoi has made 10 appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring one goal and contributing three assists.
