Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has had a concerning dip in form in recent weeks and supporters are wondering how much longer he will be a regular starter for the Reds.
The Scotland captain was turned inside and out by Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka for the Gunners’ first goal last weekend, and he didn’t fare much better against Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening either.
Fans on X believe Robertson may have reached the end of the road at the highest level and some expect him to be dropped or even sold in the near future:
Looks like he’s lost a yard and is dropping deeper than the other 3 defenders and keeps getting beaten one on one.

Let’s see who starts at left-back for Liverpool this weekend
It is interesting that head coach Arne Slot opted to start Robertson, rather than Kostas Tsimikas, in the Carabao Cup.
With the Reds facing Brighton again in a league game on Saturday, it will be significant if Tsimikas does get the nod on the left-hand side of defence. If he does, it may suggest that the Greek international is now ahead in the pecking order for the bigger games.
Will a replacement for Robertson be signed?
With the fullback turning 31 in March, there will be cause to buy a younger replacement in the next six to twelve months. Some have backed a move for Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has been linked with a switch to Anfield in recent months.
However, it must be pointed out that the Algerian international would not be much of an improvement on Robertson if Slot is looking for someone who is better defensively.
