Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has not been named in the starting eleven for a competitive match by head coach Arne Slot so far this campaign.
Many felt the Champions League fixture against AC Milan would have been a good opportunity to throw the Uruguayan international into the mix but Slot kept faith with Diogo Jota.
With so many fixtures being played in such a short period of time, rotation will be needed at some point and plenty of fans on X think the game against Bournemouth this weekend could be the right moment to start Nunez:
I would give him a go on Saturday

Yes, he looks hungry to play while jota should be rested to ensure his availability.

Yeah, jota hasn't been his usual self the last 3 games

Yes I will. Jota hasn't been prolific and Darwin needs the game time to pick up some form

He needs game time and prove the haters wrong. Last season he was our second best attacker. If you look at the stats he scored and assisted more than Gakpo and Diaz. Jota has scored one goal so far and he's supposed to be our best striker.

Yes, it's about time!

Jota fluffed his lines against Milan
It’s fair to say that the Portuguese forward didn’t have his best game in Italy midweek. He missed a gilt-edged chance in the first half, putting his shot wide.
Jota then had another opportunity to score after the break, but he hit his shot straight at Milan keeper Mike Maignan. With so much competition for places up front, he can’t afford to have many off days like that. Nunez should be breathing down his neck for starts.
The Liverpool striker needs match sharpness
The only way that Nunez can prove himself to his new manager is by being out on the pitch. At the moment, he is getting just 15 or 20 minutes to show what he can do.
If he doesn’t start against Bournemouth, there will be more questions asked about whether the striker is rated by Slot.
