Harry Redknapp Predicts The Result As Liverpool Take On Fulham

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is expecting Liverpool to secure a narrow victory when they face Fulham this weekend.

The Reds suffered a shock home defeat to Crystal Palace last Sunday and they were knocked out of the Europa League by Atalanta midweek. However, speaking exclusively to BetVictor, Redknapp said he is backing Jurgen Klopp’s side to “edge” the game against the Cottagers:

“Fulham got a comfortable win over West Ham last week; it’s been another good season for the club. Marco Silva is a very good manager and I’m surprised he doesn’t seem to get linked to bigger jobs. I never worry about Fulham going down with him at the helm.”

“It’s been such a difficult two weeks for Liverpool, even if they did win in Italy the other night. Only time will tell how fatal those results were, they’ve just got to win every game and see where that takes them.”

“There won’t be much in this, Fulham give every team a really tough game at Craven Cottage. I think Liverpool will edge it though, 2-1.”

Liverpool have to start scoring goals

The Reds may have scored from the penalty spot on Thursday evening in Italy but it has now been 360 minutes in all competitions since they last bagged a goal from open play.

That has to change if they are to keep pace with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table.

Fulham will be a tough nut to crack

As Redknapp mentions, it won’t be an easy game at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening. Marco Silva’s team beat Tottenham 3-0 last month, and they have also defeated Arsenal on their own patch this season.

Anything other than three points would probably end Klopp’s men’s chances of winning the title so they need to bring their A-game.
