Liverpool winger Mo Salah was not included in WhoScored.com’s Team of the Week despite scoring a brace against Brentford on Sunday.
The stat boffins included Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard in their front three.
Salah’s absence left many Reds fans on X scratching their heads, with some questioning the inclusion of other players:
You’re kidding me Where’s is Salah?

Who was included in WhoScored’s Team of the Week?
Newcastle’s Nick Pope was selected in goal, despite conceding two goals against Bournemouth. Although Salah didn’t make the eleven, two of his teammates, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip did. The centre-backs joined Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof in a back three.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Aston Villa’s John McGinn, West Ham’s Tomas Soucek and Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko made up a four-man midfield. As already mentioned, Solanke, Haaland and Trossard are the forwards.
Salah is having an outstanding season for Liverpool
The Egyptian international may not be making many headlines or making many teams of the week, but he is certainly performing extremely well for the Reds.
Salah’s two goals last weekend means he has now hit the back of the net 12 times in 17 games, having also provided 4 assists.
