Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Caoimhin Kelleher – 7/10 – it was a very solid performance from the Irishman who was deputising for Alisson. He came for every cross and his distribution was excellent.
RB – Curtis Jones – 8/10 – the midfielder made playing out of position look easy. He tried to get on the ball as much as possible, inverting into the middle to cause problems for Everton between the lines.
CB – Ibrahima Konate – 6/10 –much better than his centre-back partner, although a few of his clearances did land at the feet of Everton forwards.
CB – Virgil van Dijk – 4/10 – it was an uncharacteristically poor performance from the captain. He was lucky that Beto’s goal was chalked off for offside, having been brushed off by the 27-year-old. His failed clearance also led to Beto hitting the post.
LB – Andy Robertson – 8/10 – the left-back has looked more like his old self in recent weeks.
