Liverpool Up For 4 Premier League Awards After 3 Wins In September

Liverpool trio Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, along with manager Arne Slot, have been nominated for Premier League awards.

Both Gravenberch and Diaz are up for Player of the Month, while Nunez is among the candidates for the Goal of the Month for his strike against Bournemouth.

Slot is also included in the nominees for the Manager of the Month prize as the Reds won three of their four league games in September.

It would have been a perfect month if the Merseysiders hadn’t lost to Nottingham Forest but they have still found themselves top of the table.

Who will Gravenberch and Diaz be competing against for Player of the Month?

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Fulhan’s Raul Jimenez, Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes, Arsenal’s Gabriel, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Everton’s Dwight McNeil are the other nominees.

While Gravenberch may not have the numbers that the likes of Palmer have racked up, he was consistently excellent in all four of Liverpool’s matches. Diaz, meanwhile, scored 4 times, with braces against Manchester United and Bournemouth. You can nominate one of the two here.

Will Slot get rewarded for his fine start as Liverpool manager?

Many fans felt that the Dutchman was hard done by when he didn’t receive the August Manager of the Month, despite having won his games against Ipswich and Brentford.

Slot has since guided his Reds team to 1st place but he is unlikely to be the favourite this time round, with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca having won 3 and drawn 1 of his four games.

Arsenal’s’ Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery and Fulham’s Marco Silva are the other candidates, with all three having picked up 7 points from 9. You can vote for Slot by going here. Nominations close at 12:00 pm BST on Monday 7th October.
