Liverpool Now Trailing Rival For 34M Rated Marksman As Bundesliga Giants Hold Talks With Player’s Father And Advisor

Liverpool are behind Bayern Munich in the race to secure Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi’s signature, according to reports in Austria.

It is believed that the Bundesliga champions have already spoken with Adeyemi’s father Abbey as well as his advisor Thomas Solomon last weekend, ahead of a potential transfer.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Salzburg were holding out for up to €40m (£34m) for Adeyemi so, while a move back to Germany is looking like an increasing possibility, it still depends on Bayern stumping up the cash.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors but Bayern have always been favourites to re-sign the 19-year-old, who spent two years at the club’s academy.

There are still doubts over whether a deal could be done in January or at the end of the season, and Liverpool could yet hijack the transfer if they move quickly for Adeyemi, so we shall see how things progress over the coming weeks.
