Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Alisson Becker – 7/10 – the Brazilian couldn’t do anything about Solanke’s goal but he did make another good save from the same player.

RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6/10 – looked short of fitness in the early exchanges with some poor passes, but he contributed with the cross for Liverpool’s fifth goal.

CB – Ibrahima Konate – 6/10 – an up and down day for the centre-back who carelessly gave away the corner before Spurs scored, but he then produced a vital block to stop Mathys Tel from scoring just before half-time.

CB – Virgil van Dijk – 7/10 – the captain was busy in the first 45 minutes. Solanke was a handful and he needed to block a goal-bound effort from Tel. However, he was a spectator in the second half as the Reds dominated.

LB – Andy Robertson – 7/10 – the 31-year-old had some issues with headed clearances early on but he grew into the game and combined well with Diaz and Gakpo down the left.
