Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Alisson – 6/10 – dealt well with one cross but got clattered by his own player. Managed to get up and continue.
RB – Joe Gomez – 7/10 – a positive display on the 28-year-old’s return to the team. Got the assist for Gakpo’s goal.
CB – Ibrahima Konate – 6/10 – No mistakes! It’s a low bar but it is something to build on for the Frenchman.
CB – Virgil van Dijk – 6/10 – had a one-on-one duel with Jarrod Bowen that he dealt with pretty well. Was relatively untroubled other than that.
LB – Milos Kerkez – 5/10 – he is beginning to build up an understanding with Gakpo but he still commits himself too often. Needs to show greater composure.
