Liverpool needed another late goal to beat Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, and the fact that the Merseyside derby is a lunchtime kickoff this Saturday is far from ideal.

The short turnaround time means that Reds head coach Arne Slot will likely make several changes to the starting eleven to face Everton.

GK – Alisson Becker – the Brazilian has not had a great start to the season. He has now let in 8 goals from 14 shots faced.

RB – Conor Bradley – Jeremie Frimpong has only just returned from a hamstring injury, so you wouldn’t want him starting 2 games in 4 days. Bradley is the favourite to play in the derby.

CB – Ibrahima Konate –  the Frenchman has responded well to criticism after having a very poor start to the campaign.

CB – Virgil van Dijk –  the captain seems to be getting better and better with age.

LB – Milos Kerkez – with Andy Robertson having started against Atletico, the Hungarian could be recalled on Saturday.
