GK – Giorgi Mamardashvili – Alisson remains on the treatment table, so the Georgian will keep his place.
RB – Jeremie Frimpong – Joe Gomez won’t be asked to play a second game in 4 days due to fitness concerns, even though he would be the better fit for this game. Frimpong may get the nod.
CB – Ibrahima Konate – lapses of concentration like the one for Haaland’s second goal on Saturday have been commonplace this season. He needs to wake up.
CB – Virgil van Dijk – the captain was so poor against City. Liverpool will be on the receiving end of another hiding if he repeats that performance in Paris.
LB – Milos Kerkez – Andy Robertson would be the smart choice based on experience, but Arne Slot rarely starts the Scot in big matches these days.
